Suriya won his first National Award this year for Soorarai Pottru. After opting out from director Bala's 'Vanangaan', he is now briskly shooting for his next, 'Suriya 42', directed by Siruthai Siva. Bankrolled by Studio Green & UV Creations, this project is touted to be a big budget magnum opus, being made in 3D technology in 10 languages.

Bollywood actress Disha Patani and the leading comedian Yogi Babu are part of the star cast in Suriya 42. Now, the latest news is that the makers started a new schedule of filming in Chennai. Reportedly, they are shooting some stunt sequences in this schedule. Stunt director Supreme Sundar is present in the current schedule. While Disha Patani shot for the contemporary portions in the Goa schedule, the diva is currently acting in the action sequences along with Yogi Babu.

As per the sources, Suriya, Disha Patani and Yogi Babu are spotted shooting for the action blocks of Suriya 42 with swords. It is being said that the film will have both historic (1000-year-old) and contemporary portions and Suriya will be seen in five different roles for the first time. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for this film with visuals by Vetri and editing by Nisha Yusuf. The movie will be released in two parts. The team will shoot for the sequel after the release of the first film.
