Suriya after the critical and commercial success of 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim' is currently working day and night for his mega budget new movie 'Kanguva' directed by Siruthai Siva. The film that has a contemporary story mixed with a historical portion is produced on a grand scale by Studio Green with DSP scoring the music and Disha Patani playing the female lead.

It is well known that Suriya will next star in 'Suriya 43' directed by Sudha Kongara followed by Vetrimaaran's long overdue 'Vaadivaasal'. He has also confirmed that he will be starring in 'Rolex' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj based on the villainous role he played in Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram'.

Meanwhile popular Telugu director Chandoo Mondeti has confirmed in his recent interview that he is planning a mega film with Suriya in the lead. He has told DC "It is always great talking to Suriya sir since he is quite encouraging and friendly too. I was on cloud nine, when Suriya talked about my film ‘Karthikeya 2’ by vividly remembering various shots from the film. Every meeting with him has been quite enriching for me.

Mondeti who is currently planning films with Naga Chaitanya and Karthik Aryan added "I am planning a film about four Vedas - Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda - with him (Suriya) and it would be a socio-fantasy kind of movie and we are both quite excited about it. Although he will be busy for another one and half to two years, he calls me to check about the progress in the script, which is quite amazing."
