Whoa! This young Bollywood actress confirmed for Suriya’s mega-budgeted ‘Karna’

Suriya is busy with back-to-back biggies like ‘Kanguva’ ‘Suriya 43’ and ‘Vaadivaasal’. He is said to have signed a new mega-budget project with the National Award-winning director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame. This film is likely to be based on Mahabharata with Suriya in the titular role of ‘Karna’.

We already broke to you that late actress Sri Devi’s daughter and the Bollywood sensation, Janhvi Kapoor, is set to play the female lead in this film. In a recent interaction, Janhvi’s father and popular producer Boney Kapoor confirmed that the buzz is true. He said, “Janhvi is doing a film with Suriya in Hindi.”

Tentatively called ‘Suriya 44’, the project is going to be a two-part saga based on ‘Karna’. The shooting is likely to commence this year and the duology will be made on a huge scale. Suriya is also in talks with directors like Boyapati Srinu and Ravikumar while Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU films and ‘Irumbu Kai Mayavi’ are on cards.
