Suriya one of the most dedicated and hardworking actors in Indian cinema has also helped elevate Tamil cinema once again on the world stage by producing and acting in 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is in the Oscar race besides a record-breaking streaming run on Amazon Prime Video.

Suriya tested positive for the COVID 19 on February 9th and was under treatment since then and recovered very well. A few days back he was seen for the first time in public along with wife Jyothika and children at an inauguration of a school.
