After the success of Petta, Superstar Rajnikanth is currently acting in his 167th movie Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions. The team had been shooting for the past few months in Mumbai, and had recently shot some sequences in the Terna speciality hospital.

Next, Darbar team is all set to shift location and shooting will begin on August 18 at Jaipur, where a song sequence is set to be shot. Darbar has Lady Superstar Nayanthara pairing with Superstar Rajnikanth after Chandramukhi and special appearances in Sivaji and Kuselan.

The movie has Suniel Shetty playing the villain, while Prateik Babbar plays his son, and Nawab Shah plays a partner of Suniel Shetty. Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj and Bose Venkat are also a part of the cast of Darbar which has music by Anirudh and is expected to release on Pongal 2020.
