Superstar Rajinikanth amidst his political work and the soon to begin Karthick Subbaraj film has taken a sudden break and is leaving to the Himalayas for a spiritual trip that would last for about a week.  He is said to first travel to Dharmasala via Simla and then spend majority time in Hrishikesh where he had built a ashram for visiting devotees but could not participate in the inauguration in November due various circumstances.

Even during his younger days Rajini in between films used to spend several months in Himalayas and now that he is fully entrenched in politics is said to be keen to meet his gurus and seek their blessings.
