The Chess Olympiad is a biennial chess tournament in which teams representing nations all over the world compete. We already brought to you the 44th Chess Olympiad taking place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time that the Olympiad is happening in India.

Many important people including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will be present at the inaugural ceremony of the 44th Chess Olympiad in Poonjeri Village in the coastal town Mamallapuram, a UNESCO heritage site near Chennai. Political leaders, cinema celebrities and former chess champions are wishing their best to the chess players who will be competing in the chess tournament starting today.
