Since yesterday, veteran actress and filmmaker Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been on a spot of bother. The screen shot of a text in Kannada language has been doing rounds with her photos in Whats App and it claims "Suhasini has always supported Karnataka in Cauvery issue".

It is worth noting that today (September 9) a state wide Bandh is happening across Karnataka, protesting the Supreme Court's verdict to release Cauvery water for Tamil Nadu. The Karnataka State Government has also accorded support to the Bandh call by the confederations of various Kannada organizations and Farmers organizations of Karnataka.

Suhasini has however distanced herself from the comments circulating with her name and clarified that she never made any statement on Cauvery dispute in any forum.
