Superstar Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas are in talks to team up for an action entertainer. Produced by Haarika & Haasine Creations in association with GMB Productions, the film has Pooja Hegde as the front runner to play the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu.

According to a source, Mahesh Babu hasn't given his final nod to the film as Trivikram Srinivas has only narrated the outline of the story and is currently working on the final draft.

"Trivikram is yet to give final narration to Mahesh and the director has asked some time before he works on the final draft. While fans are expecting an update of SSMB 28 on May 31 coinciding with actor Krishna's birthday, Haarika & Haasine Creations is determined to make an official announcement only after Mahesh Babu gives his final go-ahead to Trivikram's script. In all probability, the film will take at least three-four months time to go on floors, provided Mahesh agrees to the proposal," says a source.

It may be recalled that Trivikram was supposed to direct Jr NTR in NTR 30, but the film has been shelved due to creative differences. NTR, on the other hand, has joined hands with his Janata Garage director for a pan-Indian film, while Trivikram is in final discussions to direct Mahesh in SSMB 28.

Mahesh and Trivikram had earlier worked together in Athadu and Khaleja. While the former has received critical acclaim, the latter was a disaster at the box office.
