'RRR' is the upcoming magnum opus period film directed by the master filmmaker SS Rajamouli. It stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Olivia Morris in the lead roles. The team wrapped up the entire filming in August month. The release date of RRR was postponed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We had already updated you that the makers of RRR decided to push the release date from October 13 to a later date. The post-production work of the big-budget film is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and is expected to be wrapped up soon. Now, the team has announced that the movie will be released on 7th January 2022 coinciding with Pongal.

Tollywood media sources read that RRR's release date is pushed to the Sankranti as the makers expect 100% theater occupancy and aiming for a pan-World release. On October 2, the makers of RRR revealed a new poster with the release date and wrote, "Experience India’s Biggest Action Drama, #RRRMovie in theatres worldwide on 7th Jan 2022. #RRROnJan7th, An @ssrajamouli Film."

This is the first poster to feature four lead actors from the film. While Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetharama Raju, Jr NTR will be playing the role of Komaram Bheem. Alia Bhatt, who essays the role of Sita, is paired opposite Ram Charan. RRR is based on the friendship set in the 1920s. Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody are playing key roles in the prestigious film.
