Thala Ajith for the past many years has maintained a low profile and avoids attending any public or private functions.  He has however made an exception for an old family friend and has attended the rituals conducted for the late Sridevi at her Chennai home in view of her first death anniversary that falls on February 24th.  Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor were also present while Shalini Ajith accompanied her husband.

Thala Ajith after the blockbuster hit 'Viswasam' will soon start shooting for 'Thala 59' produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by H. Vinod.  This remake of the Amitabh Bachan-Tapsee Pannu starrer 'Pink' has Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Adhik Ravichandran and Rangaraj Pandey in the cast.
