Nagarjuna’s milestone 100th film, King 100, is getting bigger with every new update. The makers have now unveiled a special glimpse featuring Tabu on the occasion of her birthday, introducing her as Mahanthi Jhansi Rani. Her powerful screen presence and commanding dialogue delivery have instantly grabbed attention.
Backed by Annapurna Studios and directed by Ra Karthik, King 100 marks the filmmaker’s Telugu directorial debut. The film is currently progressing at a brisk pace.
The newly released glimpse begins with Tabu delivering an impactful dialogue about luck and hard work. “There are two kinds of people in this world – those who believe in luck and those who believe in hard work. Luck? I hate luck,” she says, establishing the attitude of her character right from the beginning.
The highlight comes towards the end, when Tabu makes a grand appearance before a massive gathering and takes the oath of office. Her regal appearance, graceful sarees and authoritative body language suggest that Mahanthi Jhansi Rani is going to be a character with considerable power and influence.

Nagarjuna and Tabu Back Together After 28 Years
The reunion of Nagarjuna and Tabu after 28 years is another major attraction of the film. The duo, who previously shared a memorable on-screen pairing, are coming together again in a completely different setting. This time, their story appears to explore power struggles and conflicts rather than a conventional romantic track.
Interestingly, the glimpse released on Nagarjuna’s birthday had already generated considerable curiosity. The latest character introduction has added another layer of excitement, with audiences eager to discover how Tabu’s character fits into the film’s larger narrative.
On the technical front, Raja Mahadhevan is handling cinematography, while Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Navin Nooli takes care of editing, and Sathees Kumar N is overseeing production design.
With Nagarjuna completing a significant milestone in his career and Tabu bringing a strong character to the narrative, King 100 is steadily building anticipation. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on December 24, 2026, as a Christmas special.
