Sridevi, Divya Bharti & the coincidence

The gorgeous and super-talented Divya Bharati was all of 19 when she died in 1993.  The 'Bobbili Raja' actress was a reigning star in Bollywood when she died under mysterious circumstances, leaving the nation shocked.  

Many would say that she is a Sridevi lookalike.  In those days when information was a luxury, many were funnily believing that Divya was Sridevi's biological sister.  

Divya's birthday falls on February 25.  Coincidentally, this is the date on which the world came to know about Sridevi's death.  

The 1994 film 'Laadla' (Hindi) was to feature Divya Bharti.  But her untimely death made the makers go in for Sridevi. Many portions had to be reshot with Sridevi.
