Renowned production house Hombale Films continues to push the boundaries of scale and storytelling in Indian cinema. With a track record of landmark blockbusters like Rajakumara, KGF, Kantara, Salaar, and the recent animated success Mahavatar Narasimha, the banner is now taking its ambitious vision a step further.
Marking a significant expansion of its mythological storytelling, the studio has officially announced ‘Mahavatar Parashuram’, the next chapter in the Mahavatar cinematic universe. The project was unveiled on the auspicious occasion of Parashuram Jayanti, signaling not just a new film, but a bold continuation of a growing franchise rooted in Indian mythology.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced in collaboration with Kleem Productions, the film promises a more intense and layered narrative. It will explore the fierce and complex persona of Lord Parashuram a warrior-sage known for embodying both divine rage and unwavering devotion. The makers aim to blend mythological depth with cutting-edge visual storytelling, elevating the cinematic experience.

The title poster sets a striking tone with its gritty and powerful imagery. Rather than revealing the character’s face, it highlights Parashuram’s imposing presence through his blood-streaked parshu (axe), clutched firmly amid a battlefield filled with fallen warriors and chaos. The haunting atmosphere is further amplified by dust-filled air and distant silhouettes of conflict. The tagline, “When Dharma Falls, the Parshu Rises,” encapsulates the film’s central theme the resurgence of righteousness during times of moral collapse.
Adding to the excitement, the title glimpse showcases the film’s grand scale and refined craftsmanship. The visuals appear immersive and meticulously crafted, while Sam CS delivers a powerful background score that heightens the intensity and leaves a lasting impact.
Positioned as a large-scale animated spectacle, Mahavatar Parashuram aims to seamlessly merge advanced technology with India’s rich cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the legendary avatars of Vishnu, the film seeks to present a timeless tale through a modern cinematic lens.
Scheduled for a grand theatrical release in 2027, Mahavatar Parashuram is poised to take the franchise into a darker, more emotionally charged space promising a visually spectacular and thematically powerful experience for audiences.
