Six female students arrested in Chennai for controversial rangoli drawings

There have been numerous agitations and peace marches in many parts of India ever since the ruling central government brought in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In Chennai six female students have been arrested for drawing rangolis on the street in Shashtri Nagar in protest of the acts.
It is said that pictures of the controversial rangolis were posted on Twitter and other social media networks that went viral. Following this the Besant Nagar police arrested the six female students who allegedly drew the controversial rangolis and were later let out after a warning.
The opposition leader M.K. Stalin has condemned the ADMK government for curbing the basic rights of a citizen of india to protest and pressed the need to honor the citizens rights and demanded that the cases against the youngsters be withdrawn immediately.
