A YouTube channel has landed in legal trouble after allegedly spreading fake and defamatory content about Megastar Chiranjeevi. The Jubilee Hills police have reportedly registered a case against the channel administrators following a formal complaint filed by an advocate.
According to the complaint, the channel circulated false rumors claiming that Chiranjeevi was battling serious health issues. It also allegedly used morphed images and misleading thumbnails that showed the actor in a weak condition, including edited visuals portraying him as bald and severely underweight.
The complainant submitted video clips and screenshots to the police as evidence and requested strict action against those responsible for creating and sharing the fabricated content. The complaint further sought the removal of the videos from digital platforms.
Based on the allegations, the Jubilee Hills police have initiated an investigation to trace the people operating the channel and verify the extent of the misinformation campaign.
The issue has drawn attention to the increasing spread of fake celebrity content on social media and YouTube platforms, with many calling for stricter monitoring against misleading and defamatory uploads.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi continues to stay busy with his upcoming projects. The Megastar recently kickstarted his prestigious 158th film, tentatively titled #Mega158, directed by Bobby Kolli, and the shoot is progressing at a brisk pace.
