‘Sita’: First weekend share is abysmal

‘Sita’, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Kajal Aggarwal, could mop up a share of just Rs 4 Cr in the first weekend.  Released on Friday, it made Rs 1 Cr on Sunday, which is a big dip from Friday’s Rs 1.40 Cr.

This is Bellamkonda’s first non-action film.  The audience in ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres expect mass action flicks from him.  After ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ (which was a hit), ‘Sita’ is all set to be a hat-trick debacle in Bellamkonda’s career.  ‘Saakshyam’ and ‘Kavacham’ were flops last year.

Directed by Teja, the film has received praise for the scenes involving Sonu Sood and Tanikella Bharani.
