What happened to Simbu and Sudha Konagara’s long-rumoured project?

Atman Simbu is currently busy shooting for ‘Thug Life’, a film starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam. He is likely to complete shooting for this project within a month. Following that, Simbu is slated to begin filming for ‘STR 48’, which will be directed by Desingh Periasamy.

Earlier, Simbu was reportedly in discussions with director Sudha Kongara for a new project under Hombale Films, but there have been no recent updates on the development of this project. Sudha Kongara, who recently completed the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, is now set to direct Dhruv Vikram next. Previously, there were plans for her to collaborate again with Suriya on the film ‘Purananooru’, but unfortunately, the project has been shelved.

The latest reports indicate that Simbu’s untitled project with director Sudha Kongara is still in the works, and they are set to collaborate for ‘STR 50’.
