Tamil cinema has witnessed numerous multi-talented stars over these years. Simbu, like his father T Rajendar, is one of the powerhouses of talents in the film industry. He recently made his comeback with 'Maanadu' and is enjoying the pinnacle of his career presently.
Apart from being an actor, Silambarasan has won the audience also as a playback singer, lyricist, screenwriter, director and music composer. It is worth mentioning that he has delivered two superhit films 'Manmadhan' and 'Vallavan' as a writer-director. According to the sources, the latest is that STR has decided to don the director hat again after 16 years.
At a promotional event, Simbu reportedly stated that he is planning to make his next directorial and that he already has a few scripts planned. Reports say that STR aspires to make his next film and he revealed that he has about 10 scripts ready, but has yet to choose the final one. The actor also said that if he is directing, he will also be playing the lead role in the movie.
On the work front, Simbu is awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ which is set to be released in theatres this Thursday. The movie will portray STR as a 19-year-old as well as a 40-year-old. Directed by Gautham Menon, it has music by AR Rahman. STR also has 'Pathu Thala' which is the Tamil remake of the Kannada film 'Mufti'.
