An important order has been issued by the Chennai High Court in the case filed against Simbu by Vels Films International owned by Ishari Ganesh. In the order the 40 year old star has been asked to pay a guarantee amount of rupees one crore.
Vels Films International which produced Simbu's 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' directed by Gautham Menon also signed him for the comedy movie 'Corona Kumar' directed by Gokul. However Simbu allegedly did not allot dates even after getting Rs 4.50 crores advance amount from the production house.
Recently it was reported that Simbu had agreed to allot dates for a film for Vels after he completes 'STR 48' directed by Desingh Periyasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan. However the case is still in court and we have wait and see if the two parties settle their differences or continue with the case.
