The red-letter day in Kamal Hassan’s political journey was celebrated joyously by thousands of fans, followers and loyalists. Nammavar’s official political genesis at Madurai’s Othakadai saw him hoist the party flag for the first time, reveal the party’s name and idealogical principles.

While many senior politicians including Arvind Kejriwal and Pinarayi Vijayan have expressed their elation, it is still a special wish if you get it from the members of your family. Yes, Kamal’s two lovely daughters Shruthi and Akshara wished their father heartfelt wishes in their respective social pages.

Bringing Kamal Hassan’s favourite Mahatma Gandhi quote ‘be the change you wish to see in the world’, Shruthi expressed her certainty that Kamal will go on to win the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu. Akshara stated that it was a proud moment for her. “ My father has taught me that progress is an individual journey and great progress occurs with thew unity of people who take responsibility  for the future of the society,” she said.

Sure these sweet messages of sincere love and hope from his daughters would have brought a smile to the Nammavar.
