Director Shankar, who had last directed the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer 2.0 is next directing the biggie Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan, and this movie which is the sequel to their 1996 superhit will resume shooting soon after the lockdown ends.
In a recent interview, Shankar has opened up about his favourite directors in Tamil cinema now. Shankar has appreciated Vetrimaaran, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Aruvi fame Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, and H Vinoth’s work in Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram ondru.
Shankar has also praised the work of director Halitha Shameem in the hit Sillukaruppatti, and quoted her upcoming movie Minmini, for which she had shot with child actors and has been waiting for them to grow to shoot the portions presenting them as grown-ups, and said that he’s waiting to watch Minmini.
