Director Shankar had made his kollywood debut with Gentleman starring Arjun in the lead and the movie which had Arjun playing a vigilante action hero released in 1993 and turned a blockbuster besides winning several Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Now after 27 years, the film's producer KT Kunjumon has announced a sequel to Gentleman. KT Kunjumon who entered Kollywood with Vasanthakala Paravai directed by Pavithran went on to produce movies like Suriyan, Gentleman, Kaadhalan, Kadhal Desam, Ratchagan and Endrendrum Kadhal and is known for his rich production values.

After a break of 20 years, Kunjumon is back with Gentleman 2, which will be a pan Indian movie to be filmed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The cast and crew will be revealed soon in an official announcement by the makers.
