Actor and Singer Selena Gomez has shut down body shamers in a candid Tik Tok video. She addressed the hate she gets from trolls who rudely comment on her looks, unprompted and also confessed that she is unconcerned with her weight and wishes that others will be as well.
Gomez said on her TikTok Stories that she tries to restrict her fast-food meals. "So I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich," she said, as per PEOPLE."
"It doesn't matter, according to the Only Murders in the Building star, since people will still criticise her physique no matter what she does. "But honestly, I don't care about my weight because people bi*** about it anyway. 'You're too small,' 'you're too big,' 'that doesn't fit.' 'Meh meh meh meh," she added. And just when we thought her post couldn't be any more perfect, she concluded by saying, “Bitch, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.”
This isn’t the first time the actor and musician has spoken out against negative comments about her appearance and health. Gomez who underwent a kidney transplant in Sept. 2017 due to complications from lupus and has previously explained that her health issues cause "weight fluctuations" that used to bother her. Despite having these types of interactions on social media, Gomez has said she isn't too bothered by online negativity because she doesn’t let apps like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter consume her time.
