'Sehari', for all we know, is a rom-com where even serious elders are taken very lightly. Towards the end of the trailer, which dropped today, a friend of the male lead taunts that uncle (played by senior composer Koti) has got a good future in melodramatic TV serials.
The film is about Varun (newcomer Harsh Kanumilli) developing feelings for the sister (Simran Choudhary) of his bride-to-be, only to face a series of unprecedented circumstances in life. Comedian Abhinav Gomatam has a full-fledged role in this youthful entertainer. When a mesmerized Varun talks about finding a soulmate, his friend interrupts and says that his "faltoo elevations" are too predictable. Nandamuri Balakrishna's speech (read vocacious, sparkingly, sparingly, captivating and cool) is used to describe the film in a light-veined fashion.
Also featuring Praneeth Reddy Kallem, Akshithaa, Sneha Velidindi, Koti, Balakrishna and Rajeswari Mullapudi, the film will hit the screens on February 11.
Helmed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka, 'Sehari' is produced by Advaya Jishnu Reddy and Shilpa Chowdary. Written by Harsh Kanumilli, its music is by Prashanth R Vihari. Cinematography is by Aravind Viswanathan.
