Various parts of Tamil Nadu especially Kanyakumari was at the receiving end of cyclone Ockhi recording a very high downpour. Keeping this in mind, about 9 districts have announced holidays for schools in the state today.
Chennai, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tuticorin, Theni, Vizhupuram, Madurai, Kancheepuram and Dindigul district collectors have announced holidays for schools today. In addition to this Tirunelveli’s Manonmaniam Sundarnar university’s examinations have also been postponed to a later date.
