Bala settles for ‘A’ refuses to cut excessive scene

Bala’s film on folk music and dance ‘Tharai Thappattai’ starring Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar was censored with a ‘A’ certificate by the board due to excessive violence in a particular sequence in which they felt the violence was beyond admissible limits.

The board however offered 'UA' if the pointed out scenes were deleted from the movie but Bala refused to cut the scenes as he felt they were necessary for the story and has settled for 'A'. ‘Thaarai Thappattai’ is the 1000th film of Isaigniani Illayaraja whose album has become a sensational hit all over and the film is hitting theatres on the 14th of January 2015.
