The founder of the popular chain of hotels in Tamil Nadu, Saravana Bhavan, has been confirmed life sentence for his involvement in a murder case. The court has ordered the businessman to surrender before July 7 in connection with the murder case.
The case had been happening for quite a while, and it began when Saravana Bhavan proprietor H Rajagopal was found to have involved in getting his employee Prince Santhakumar murdered so as to marry his wife Jeevajothi as his third wife, as per the advice of an astrologer.
Chennai high court had awarded a life sentence in 2009 to H Rajagopal besides eight other persons accused in the case, who were hired by him to murder Santhakumar. Rajagopal was out on bail, and now with Supreme court's announcement to uphold High court verdict, he will be in lifetime imprisonment.
