As we had reported earlier actor Santhanam's first horror-comedy 'Dhillukku Dhuddu' that released on Ramzan festival holiday has got a tremendous opening and it is running successfully till date. Now as per the figures we get from trade sources, the film has turned out to be a blockbuster.

Sources reveal that the Santhanam-Shanaya starrer has collected a overall gross of Rs.21 crores in Tamil Nadu so far. This is really humungous for a film which had a comedian turned as lead hero.

In Chennai the film has collected Rs.3 crores. Interestingly, 'Inimey Ippadithan', Santhanam's previous film as the lead actor that released last year, had made an overall collection of Rs.3.6 crores. 'DD' has collected Rs.3.8 crores from the theaters across Chengalpet distribution area alone.

This is definitely going to lift Santhanum's star status to huge levels.

'Dhillikku Dhuddu' has been directed by Ram Bala of Television spoof show 'Lollu Sabha' fame and produced by Sri Thenandal Films banner.
