Samantha’s ‘Yashoda’ to release date confirmed

Weeks ago, the makers of Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Agent’ stated that the movie will be released in theatres on August 12. Today, in an interesting development, the same release date has been chosen by the makers of Samantha’s multi-lingual film ‘Yashoda’.

The two films are prestigious for the two actors. ‘Agent’ is a spy action thriller being mounted on a rich scale by Surender Reddy. ‘Yashoda’, which also seems to have shades of a thriller, is a lavish film as well. Samantha is going to do stunts in the movie, as the onboarding of Yannick Ben, a Hollywood stuntman, shows. Akhil, too, is pulling off stunts to amuse the audience through ‘Agent’.

‘Yashoda’ is going to hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It has to be seen how many languages ‘Agent’ will be released in. With Hiphop Tamizha, the film has Malayalam megastar Mammootty playing a soldier.
