Samantha is currently busy with the promotions of her magnum opus, 'Shaakuntalam', as it is gearing up for a Pan-Indian release on April 14. Now, the hot official news is that Samantha's next film after the aforesaid mythological drama got a theatrical release date.

Samantha will be seen in the breezy rom-com, 'Kushi', co-starring Vijay Deverakonda after Shaakuntalam. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film was initially supposed to have been released by December 2022 but was delayed due to unavoidable reasons. Today, the makers announced with a new poster that Kushi is coming to cinemas on September 1.

The poster shows Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha holding hands while they are seen in two different backgrounds. The tagline read, "The two worlds will meet on 1st September 2023." Kushi will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam. This movie is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and has music scored by Hesham Abdul Wahab.

Kushi stars Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha, Jayaram, Lakshmi, Rohini, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Ali, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar. The technical team comprises Prawin Pudi as the editor, G Murali as the cinematographer and Peter Hein as the stunt master with art direction by Utthar Kumar and Chandrika.
