Ready up, everyone! Deadpool 3 is finally coming to theaters this summer with the first trailer that brings Ryan Reynolds' antihero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fray.
Ryan Reynolds returns to the titular role of the irreverent superhero Wade Wilson—also known as Deadpool—joining forces with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for the first time since 2017's Logan.
Although the trailer only shows Wolverine's back and a quick flash of his iconic yellow suit, a cool Loki crossover occurs as the TVA crashes Deadpool's birthday bash.
Now, typical Deadpool—there were lots of meta jokes and fun going on, with Wade even calling himself "Marvel Jesus." And then he made a clever comment about Disney and pegging!
Packed with action scenes, the trailer confirms that this is still the R-rated Deadpool we all know and love. A whole lotta stabbing, shooting, and blood.
It's aptly titled Deadpool & Wolverine, and the film has been through numerous delays due to Hollywood strikes but finally completed shooting in January 2024. Reynolds marked the occasion with, uh, a typically 'Pool-y announcement.
Among other things, fans of the film can expect to see old faces such as Morena Baccarin reprising her role as Vanessa and Karan Soni as Dopinder, along with rumors rife about Jennifer Garner's Elektra making a return appearance.
And there are some new exciting additions, too—in villainous roles such as Emma Corrin. Reynolds, however, is already warning fans not to spoil it for anyone.
So mark your calendars for July 26, and let's get ready for some action-packed, fourth-wall-breaking fun with Deadpool!
