Rhea Chakraborty a relatively unknown Bollywood actress has become the most talked about in the past few months after her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput died by apparent suicide on June 14th.  She was first accused by Sushant’s family of instigating the death and as well as providing drugs to the late actor.

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Rhea Chakraborty on September 9th after grilling her for several hours and she confessed to procuring drugs for Sushant and her brother too was arrested.

The Mumbai High Court granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty on Wednesday after close to a month with the order stating that there is no evidence of the 29 year old involved in any commercial dealings or connection with a drug cartel.   She has been restricted from traveling abroad and instructed to appear in the police station every ten days and also intimate if she is traveling within the country.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has stated that Rhea not only practices Yoga to face her jail term but also taught it to the other inmates and she moved with them in a very friendly manner.  He has also added that the actress ate the food provided in the jail and did not opt for home-cooked food.  In his own words “Being an army girl and having being brought up in the army atmosphere, she fought the conditions like a battle, and she and she is ready to face any person who is trying to accuse her and harm her interests,”

Tapsee Pannu and Huma Qureshi have welcomed the court’s decision to grant bail Rhea and have expressed the same on social media.
