Actress Regina Cassandra was seen on screen last year, in contrasting characters in the action thriller Mr Chandramouli and the comedy entertainer Silukkuvarpatti Singam, and both the movies did not fare well at the box office, and the actress is currently a part of several movies.

Regina Cassandra's first release of the year will be the Tamil/Telugu bilingual movie 7, which marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Nizar Shafi who had previously worked in movies like Sutta Kathai, Naaigal Jaakirathai etc, and the movie is touted to be a suspense thriller.

7 which is produced by Sri Green productions has locked its release date as June 5. The movie also stars Rahman, besides many heroines like Nandita Swetha, Anisha Ambrose, Tridha Choudary, and the movie is about a cop finding a missing man claimed to be their husband by 7 women.
