'RED' hit the screens on Thursday (January 14). Starring Ram Pothineni in dual roles, the film is an action thriller. Competing with the four-day-old 'Krack', one-day-old 'Master' and its other BO competitor 'Alludu Adhurs', the Kishore Tirumala directorial had to face a challenge. And the Day 1 figure in the Telugu States is good enough.

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined, the film clocked a share of Rs 6.70 Cr, as per the makers. Here is the break-up of the collections:

Nizam: Rs 2.19 Cr

Cedeed: Rs 1.17 Cr

Nellore: Rs 36 lakh

Guntur: Rs 46.5 lakh (including hires of Rs 18 lakh)

Krishna: Rs 35.3 lakh

West Godavari: Rs 95.7 lakh (including hires of Rs 60 lakh)

East Godavari: Rs 63.85 lakh (including hires of Rs 21 lakh)

Uttarandhra: Rs 53 lakh (including hires of Rs 8 lakh)

Starring Nivetha Pethuraj, Sampath Raj, Sonia Aggarwal, Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer, 'RED' has music and cinematography by Mani Sharma and Sameer Reddy, respectively.
