Ram Pothineni Goes All Out for ‘RaPo23’; Energetic Star Completes 24-Hour Shoot

Energetic Star Ram Pothineni is going all out for his ambitious directorial debut ‘RaPo23’. Taking on the challenging responsibility of both actor and director, Ram is reportedly leaving no stone unturned to bring his vision to the screen on a grand scale.

According to sources, Ram recently pulled off an intense 24-hour non-stop shooting stretch on the outskirts of Pondicherry. What makes the achievement even more demanding is that he was simultaneously performing in front of the camera while overseeing the shoot as the director.

A massive setup was created in Pondicherry for the film, with the schedule continuing for nearly nine days. Sources reveal that Ram has been pushing himself extensively as an actor while also personally supervising various aspects of the production. The scale of the project is said to be one of the major talking points among the team.

However, the Pondicherry schedule was interrupted by unexpected rains. With the weather affecting the shoot, the unit temporarily returned to Hyderabad. The team is expected to head back to Pondicherry soon and complete the remaining portions on the same elaborate setup.

Interestingly, ‘RaPo23’ is not being positioned as a conventional action film. The project is shaping up as a psychological action thriller set against a dark and intriguing neo-noir backdrop. The genre and visual world are expected to present Ram Pothineni in a completely different avatar.

The film also boasts a strong technical crew. National Award-winning cinematographer Thirunavukarasu (Thirru) is handling the camera, with the team aiming for striking and atmospheric visuals that complement the film’s dark tone.

The action department features the combined expertise of Vikram Mor and acclaimed stunt choreographer Peter Hein. Their involvement is expected to add scale and intensity to the film’s action sequences. Meanwhile, production designer AS Prakash is working on elaborate sets designed to build the film’s distinctive visual world.

Produced by Krishna Pothineni under the Rapo Cinematics banner, ‘RaPo23’ is being mounted on a large scale. With Ram taking complete charge both in front of and behind the camera, the project is emerging as one of the most ambitious films of his career.

More details about the cast, characters and upcoming shooting schedules are expected to be revealed in the coming months. For now, Ram’s intense 24-hour schedule and the film’s ambitious scale have certainly added to the curiosity surrounding ‘RaPo23’.
