Ram Charan reportedly injured his wrist during the shooting of Peddi. However, determined not to let the injury affect the film’s promotional activities and other professional commitments, the actor continued working despite the pain. He had earlier decided to postpone the surgery until after the film’s release and promotional campaign.
With all his immediate commitments now completed, Ram Charan has finally opted to undergo the much-needed procedure. He has travelled to Coimbatore, where the surgery will be performed at the prestigious Ganga Hospital, a medical institution well known for its expertise in orthopaedic and plastic surgeries.
The operation is expected to be carried out under the supervision of renowned specialists Dr. Praveen and senior orthopaedic expert Dr. Rajasekar, along with a team of experienced doctors.
The actor is accompanied by his family, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Surekha, his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, and other family members, who have travelled to Coimbatore to be by his side during the surgery.
Fans across the country have been flooding social media with wishes for the actor’s speedy recovery and hoping for a successful surgery.
Following Peddi, Ram Charan is set to reunite with director Sukumar for their next big project. The filmmaker is currently busy with pre-production and script work. While the surgery is expected to delay the project slightly, Ram Charan is likely to take a short break to recover before joining the film’s shoot.
The duo previously delivered the blockbuster Rangasthalam, one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema. Unlike the rural backdrop of that film, reports suggest their upcoming collaboration will feature a commercial entertainer, raising expectations among fans and the trade alike.
