The coronavirus pandemic has affected many celebrities and only recently Bollywood greats Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tested positive along with Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan and are undergoing treatment.  The situation has also given rise to rumours targeting famous stars and one repetitive fake news is regarding Superstar Rajinikanth being infected by the virus.

It all started when Bollywood actor Rohit Roy posted a joke "Rajinikanth tested positive for corona and now corona is in quarantine".  Many fans mistook this as a real news and expressed their shock and concern on social media and some even have said to have tried to contact the Thalaivar.

Now a similar news is once again doing the rounds and Rajinikanth's official spokesperson Riaz K Ahamed has clarified by stating "This news is false! It would be nice if people stop spreading such news in a time like this!"

Rajinikanth is taking all safety measures by staying home with his family and spending quality time with them.  He has even reportedly decided not to return to shooting his pending film 'Annnaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva until the COVID 19 threat is completely over.
