‘Kaala’ was screened at 19 theatres in the city with 746 shows reaping in Rs.4,87,93,588 last weekend. The film has raked in a total of Rs.6,64,03,397 in box office collection in Chennai city alone so far. And let’s not forget an average crowd presence of 90% has been recorded.

Even though the hype around this Rajini movie seemed to be creating lesser buzz than its earlier ‘Kabali’, lets admit that ‘Kaala’ has steadied itself into pace for a good box office run. The film also has an ensemble of Huma Quereshi, Easwari Rao, Samuthirakani, Anjali Patil which is being produced by Wunderbar films.
