For the past few days, we have been hearing a lot about Superstar Rajinikanth's supposed kidney-related ailments. It has been said that the actor is undergoing treatment in the US. However, Sathyanarayana, Rajini's elder brother, has rebuffed the rumours, saying his brother is in that country only for a routine health check-up. He said this when mediapersons posed him this question during his visit to a temple.

He has also revealed that Rajini will be in Chennai days before the release of Kabali.

Meanwhile, an unrelated issue has cropped up. In the late 1990s Superstar Rajinikanth promised to donate Rs.1 crore for the much talked about National River Integration project. With the ever green Superstar's much anticipated film 'Kabali' getting ready to hit the screens, a farmer's association urged Rajini to keep up his promise and donate the "promised contribution" soon for the project which is expected to resolve many problems affecting the agricultural sector of Tamil Nadu. The group also threatened that they will launch a sit in protest in front of the star's house in Chennai if he fails to donate the money.

Rajinikanth's elder brother Sathyanarayan is on a trip to visit various temples across Tamil Nadu to pray for the success upcoming release 'Kabali'. Sathyanarayana has been doing this as a token of affection for his younger brother for many years now. While he visited the world renowned Sri Brahadeeshwarar temple at Tanjore recently, he was surrounded by media persons who asked him about the ultimatum given by farmers to the 'Enthiran' actor. In his reply Sathyanarayana said that the amount promised by Rajinikanth for the the river integration project has been deposited in a bank account, long back. Once the Government announces and starts working on the project, the fund will be transferred to the concerned authority.
