The Indian version of PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India, will be available for pre-registration starting May 18 for Android phones on Google Play Store. However, Krafton has not mentioned anything about when the registrations will begin for iPhone users.
Upon pre-registration on the Google Play Store, users will be notified about the subsequent developments of the game and rewards will be available to claim during the game's official launch. The Director of Esports Federation of India & Vice-President of the Asian Esports Federation (AESF), Lokesh Suji, reportedly said, "It is heartening to see that Krafton Inc. has announced the date for pre-registrations of Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is a clear indication that government green light has been given and this surely is good news for all the PUBG players who have been missing the game all this while since its withdrawal from the Indian market after the government ban."
Regarding the launch of the game, PUBG Mobile caster and influencer, Ocean Sharma, had earlier said, "There will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. Because this was only a baby step, the game could be available by June."
