Udhayanidhi Stalin’s producer reacts to allegations of link with Kerala gold smugglers

The past month are so the Kerala gold smugglers ring getting busted by cops has been hogging the headlines and the same gang was also connected in the extortion case against actress Poorna and other models too.  A few publications from the neighbouring states have run a story that producer Santhosh T Kuruvilla used money from the gang to produce his super hit movie ‘Mayanadhi’ directed by Aashiq Abu and starring Tovino Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Santhosh T Kuruvilla has denied the allegations and has written on his facebook page that he invested money from his own bank accounts after paying all necessary taxes for the film.  The producer also bankrolled the Tamil movie ‘Nimir’ directed by Priyadarshan and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Namitha Pramod, Parvathi Nair and Samuthirakani.
