The death by suicide of young Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput has brought the issue of depression to the fore and is being discussed by many on social media.
Actress Jayashree Ramaiah who has done Kannada movie like ‘Uppu Huli Khara’ and ‘Kannada Gothilla’ became more famous after participating in the ‘Bigg Boss 3’ Kannada hosted by Kicha Sudeepa. Jayashree this morning shocked her friends fans and followers by posting on Facebook “”I quit. Goodbye to this f*****g world and depression.” She apparently switched off her phone after that causing huge concern from all quarters and some persons also went to her house in Bengaluru in order to help her.
Jayashree later returned to the social media and deleted her shocking post and cleared the air writing “I’m Alright and safe!! Love you all.”. It brought a sigh of relieve to those who got anxious.
Actress Ashvithi Shetty a close friend of Jayashree has told a leading English daily “Jayashree has been battling depression for a while now. She had family issues and was also concerned about the lack of work. She has shared several times about how low she’s been and I would try to cheer her up. But the problem was that she’d keep changing her phone number so often that it became difficult to keep track of how she was doing.”
