Breaking! The star who is playing the title role in ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ revealed

Mani Ratnam’s long time dream of adapting the epic historical novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ written by Kalki to the silver screen has taken wings with the shooting started in Thailand from December 10th onwards.  The complete official cast list has been released comprising of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, Rahman, Sarathkumar, Kishore, Ashwin Kakkamanu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

We now have the information that Jayam Ravi is playing the title role of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ whose name is Arulmozhi Varman who later on becomes the great Raja Raja Cholan 1.  The entire story revolves around Ravi’s character and what a leap for the hardworking star who has made huge strides in recent years to break into the big league in Kollywood.    Stay tuned for more updates on this mega venture that has music score by A.R. Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi’s upcoming movies that will release one after another in 2020 are ‘Bhoomi’ based on the sensitive subject of farming and the international espionage thriller ‘Janagana Mana’ directed by Ahmed and costarring Tapsee Pannu.
