Accusing Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan of hurting religious sentiments, a Christian group filed a police complaint in the Beed city of Maharashtra against her and two others on Wednesday. Kareena had recently revealed the title of her upcoming book, Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible, which they claim to have offended them.
The Christian group, identified as Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh, has taken objection to the word 'Bible' being used in the title of the book. The president of the group, Ashish Shinde, filed the complaint at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed. The complainant has sought registration of a case under section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code against Kareena Kapoor and two others involved with the book.
Shared the first look of the book on July 9 this year, Kareena wrote, "This has been quite the journey… both my pregnancies and writing my Pregnancy Bible. There were good days and bad days; some days I was raring to go to work and others where I struggled to get out of bed. This book is a very personal account of what I experienced both physically and emotionally through both my pregnancies."
