Vishal the Producer Council chief has confirmed in a press interaction that the organization has approved the release of both 'Petta' and 'Viswasam' on Thursday, January 10th ahead of the long Pongal weekend. 'Viswasam' directed by Siruthai Siva has Ajith and Nayanthara as the lead pair and is one of the hottest movies on trade. On the other hand Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures has an ensemble cast to support the Thalaivar that includes Trisha, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddique, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Megha Akash, Malavika Mohanan, Muniskanth with Sasikumar and Vijay Sethupathi.

The 'Petta' vs 'Viswasam' on the same day January 10th is sure to have fans of both Thala and Thalaivar fans in high frenzy. As far as the general audiences go it is a double treat Pongal as both the giant stars films are much anticipated.
