'Pelli SandaD' draws flak for 'outdated' narration

This Dasara, 'Pelli SandaD' was released in a low-key manner. Marking the debut of a star kid (Roshan Meka is the son of Srikanth) and the Telugu debut of Sandalwood actress Sree Leela, the film is directed by Gowri Ronanki, who adopted the treatment style of K Raghavendra Rao to the tee in narrating the movie.
The audiences' reaction to the family entertainer and rom-com has been unanimous. The verdict is that the narration is archaic. Even MM Keeravani's music hasn't been able to save the movie from falling apart completely.
An audience member said on Facebook that 'Pelli SandaD' is an insult to 'Pelli Sandadi', the 1996 movie that was directed by K Raghavendra Rao. Since KRR himself is the directorial supervisor of 'Pelli SandaD', people have got no sympathies for him.
Also featuring Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Jhansi, Raghu Babu, Shakalaka Shankar, Vennela Kishore and Tanikella Bharani, the film has KRR in a full-fledged cameo. Rajendra Prasad plays a filmmaker. A few songs have been a hit with the listeners. Their picturization is said to be adequate.
