Kollywood director N Lingusamy comes with a village-based action drama titled ‘Pandem Kodi-2’. Starring Vishal, it’s reminiscent of the flavour that its previous edition, ‘Pandem Kodi’, had.
Right in the beginning of the teaser, a throwback to the ultimate statement of Vishal’s character in the 2005 film is shown. “I will be here in Seema, come to me anytime if you have guts,” the hero says. It’s 2018 and the backdrop is much the same.
Action shots abound in the teaser. Like in most, if not all, village-based action films, the backdrop of a fair is taken as the same offers an irresistible canvas.
Keerthy is that heroine who boosts the hero’s ego. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a powerful character, possibly an anti-hero.
Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja. Cinematography is by KA Sakthivel.
It’s produced by Vishal, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada of Vishal Film Factory, and Pen Studios.
The mass film will hit the screens on October 18.
