Leading music director D. Imman conducted the last rites of Prabhu a supporting actor who passed away due to cancer. Imman was also taking care of the expenses for the cancer treatment for the past six months which has moved fans and celebrities.

Prabhu has played small characters in over 100 films including 'Padikadhavan' directed by Suraj and starring Dhanush and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Apparently he had lost touch with his family and had no one when to help when he was afflicted by cancer.

Imman had then provided the needed help but Prabhu passed away after battling the disease for many years. He also stood in as a family member and set fire to the mortal remains at the crematorium in Chennai.

The melody maker wrote on Twitter sharing pics of Prabhu "Actor Prabhu (Padikkathavan and Numerous other films) is no more with us. He had suffered from stage 4 cancer. And Ascended to the other world this morning.Doctors,nurses,social activists tried their level best to retrieve him.But couldn’t. Rest In peace brother. My heartfelt condolences."
