Pa. Ranjith gives clarity on his mega project with Suriya after recent rumours

Pa. Ranjith’s latest movie ‘Natchathiram Nagargirathu’ starring Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan and Kalaiyarasan has garnered high critical acclaim.  His next ‘Chiyaan 61’ starring Vikram in the lead and produced by Studio Green will go on floors in a few week’s time.

Meanwhile Ranjith had opened up during the promotional interviews that he had narrated a script titled ‘German’ to Suriya who had liked it but they could not do it at that time due to budget constraints.  Social media became abuzz with speculations and reports emerged that Suriya would be playing a pilot who disappears with his flight on the Bermuda triangle and lands in a futuristic Utopian country that exists outside the radar of the world as we see it.

Ranjith has clarified that his ‘German’ has nothing to do with a pilot but is a new subject that has never been attempted in Indian cinema.  He expressed confidence that the project with Suriya in the lead will take off some time in the near future.  He also conceded that when the project goes on floors the script has to be tweaked to suit the current scenario as it was written a long time back.  Also Read : Suriya – Pa Ranjith project not shelved yet? – Director reveals exciting deets!

Suriya starts shooting a major schedule of his next biggie ‘Suriya 42’ directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by UV Creations and Studio Green from September 13th in Goa.  He will also resume ‘Vanangaan’ directed by Bala by the year end.
